Loaf by loaf our goal is to bring the people back to eating traditionally prepared food. Working with local growers, producers and millers we are stitching together our local communities through bread.
Our Story
Welcome to Crust & Crackle. We are Matt and Katy, your local bread bakers.
For a long time, we struggled to find the right food to feed our family that suffers from food allergies and sensitivities. After a lifetime of being in the kitchen and hospitality industry, we were able to meld our personal life with professional, and as a result, Crust & Crackle Artisan Bread was born. The struggle to find good bread was over.
Our breads are baked with the simplest of ingredients: flour, water and salt. Keeping it clean and keeping it real. From the beginning, it has been our mission to provide a product that you can feel great about eating and sharing with your family.
All of our breads are created using organic and/or sustainably grown grains and produce. We have partnered with several farmers and producers throughout Grey & Bruce County to be able to provide you with loaves that represent the flavors found in this area.
